The nakshatra are classified in to Chara, Sthira, Mrdu, Ugra, Tikshna, Kshipra and Mishra. Every individual has a birth star depending upon the placement of Moon in one of the 27 stars in their natal chart. Each Nakshatra has a ruling deity and powers, which puts a significant influence on the characteristics of a native. Some Nakshatras lie entirely within a sign, whereas some nakshatras overlap in two zodiac signs.
